Overview

Our DFW operation is a service organization that operates within multiple locations at the DFW International Airport. The Site Manager role is responsible for the overall Baggage Handling System as outlined by our operating agreement with the customer. Applicants must have a technical acumen and the ability to lead a maintenance team, but will have emphasis on administration, safety, and quality. Applicants must have strong leadership and management experience. Good communication skills and effective management of resources, time, and expectations are also required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex maintenance contract.
  • Lead team that supports processes focused on administration, safety, and quality.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce site specific policies and procedures including but not limited to: communication plans, safety plans, contingency plans, attendance, quality control of craftsmanship, inventory management, and training requirements.
  • Manage Site P&L to achieve budgetary cost and margin goals.
  • Manage daily operations and lead direction of the maintenance team.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for employees and ensure that safe work practices are utilized.
  • Locate improvement opportunities, make improvement plans, and execute those plans through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with the customer and customers’ agents to review performance and KPI attainment.
  • Administer CMMS documentation for all maintenance work orders, PM's, parts inventory, and labor hours.
  • Assist Airport in administering spare parts allowance and audit of spare parts inventory.
  • Track and administer BHS parts warranty program.
  • Improve capability and capacity of maintenance personnel through training initiatives.
  • Plan and manage resources to ensure the cost effective execution of maintenance per expectation.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to solve problems as needed.
  • Conduct Baggage Handling System(BHS) failures root cause assessments and ongoing Baggage Handling System assessments.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading and mentoring teams.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading initiatives focused on administration, safety, and quality.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with hands-on maintenance programs.
  • Experience working in industrial or material handling/conveyor systems industries.
  • Experience with employee recruiting, onboarding, training, recognition, and appraisals.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations or Engineering
  • Airport and Warehouse Operations experience
  • Conveyor services or material handling services experience

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word, and Outlook.
