As a Field Service Engineer will be part of the Services Support team supporting inspections and maintenance for our parcel/postal and warehouse customers in North America. Our Services department provides the full range of services such as Service Implementation, Contract/Project Management, Process Engineering, Inspections & Maintenance and a 24/7 Service Desk organization.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and execute service calls, Emergency Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance
  • Report service calls internally and to customer
  • Advise and execute optimization of (sub) systems
  • Coordinate Support Efforts with remote support services
  • Analyze system performance (and the operator influence)
  • Monitor system
  • Propose improvements for the quality of the service process
  • Develop service supporting tools and means
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance & follow-up CM work orders
  • System troubleshooting
  • Research and Request spare Parts as required
  • Housekeeping
  • Perform Inventory Counts
  • Assist Operations as required
  • Complete CMMS Service Reports, Parts Usage and Warranty Records
  • Exercise safe working practice at all times
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 7 years Material Handling Experience with experience with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and controls (PLC, PC) systems

• Must have a valid drivers' license and clean driving record

• Experience with conveyors, robotics, and automated systems

• 5S Experience

• Willing to travel domestically 70-80% (some international)

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• 10 or more years of material handling experience

• Siemens, 5S and/or ASI system knowledge

• Continuous Improvement experience

 

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:
• Efficient Computer skills (Word, Excel, Maximo)

• Knowledge in communication systems (Profi-Bus, Profi-Net, CAN-BUS)

• Self Starter and Pro-active
