Overview

The Site Manager is responsible for activities involved in the installation of our automated material handling systems on large, complex projects. You’ll be part of the project team, led by the project manager. The project team consists of site managers, supervisors and subcontractors  Must have a background in Electrical and Mechanical field installations. You’ll be part of the project team, led by the project manager. The project team consists of site managers, supervisors and subcontractors. You will report hierarchically to the Manager of Site Management and on a daily basis the Senior Manager or Project Manager.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the on-site installation team on large and complex projects
  • Draw up the project “installation” project plan containing objectives, organization, planning and costs calculations in consultation with Project manager
  • Monitor and manage quality, time, costs and provision of information
  • Identify and analyze (potential) problems / risks and opportunities and initiates adequate corrective and preventive actions
  • Manage the interaction of site work with all stake holders
  • Advise and manage the contracts of E&M subcontractors
  • Ensure the C05 processes within the project  Initiates improvements of the site management process
  • Perform quality checks on installation and these processes
  • Proper reporting to customer, PM and head office
  • Lead a team of site supervisors

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Decision making ability
  • Ability to utilize a high degree of common sense
  • At least a high school education.
  • Working knowledge of electro mechanical controls wiring and systems.
  • Experience with contract management
  • Experience with project planning and site organization
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to travel up to 75%
