Overview

The Framework Contract Manager is responsible for building-up and maintaining the supplier base that our company needs to sell and execute our projects. At all times the supplier base should be in such shape that it is in balance with the business needs of the organization.

During the execution of the projects, the Framework Contract Manager supports the Supply Chain Coordinators in defining the Supply Chain strategy for each project and by monitoring the entire procurement process from specification to delivery of the goods and/or services.

The Framework Contract Manager will be part of Supply Chain Center North America, and will report to the Manager of Strategic Sourcing.

 

The Framework Contract Manager will be responsible for developing a strategy and managing several supply categories. The categories managed range from mechanical and electrical components to complete turn-key systems.

Responsibilities

o     Manage framework contracts for one or more categories:

o    Implementing framework contracts

o    Registering framework contracts in Contract Management System (CMS)

o    Explaining (value of) framework contracts to internal stakeholders, e.g. project buyers

o    Supporting usage of framework contract by e.g. project buyers

o    Steering actual and future demand over suppliers (in context of framework contract)

o    Developing agreements with suppliers to address VI's dynamic demand, including supporting project-specific (pricing) agreements

o    Monitoring workload at suppliers (demand/supply balance at supplier)

o    Communicating with suppliers to increase/decrease supply capacity (in context of framework contract)

o    Monitoring sales funnel & sold projects

o    Identifying and resolving risk & opportunities (related to costs, lead time, etc.)

 

o     Measure performance of suppliers related to framework contracts:

o    Monitoring / improving performance of suppliers (a.o. by information sharing with operational buyers and QA employees)

o    Suggesting improvements in framework contracts to respective sourcing manager

o    Developing supplier capabilities (in consultation with sourcing manager)

o    Providing supplier performance info to respective sourcing manager

 

o     Influence (business) stakeholders

o    Steering towards optimal usage of framework contracts

o    Training / informing operational buyers and project buyers in using framework contracts

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (or similar field) or Supply Chain preferred.
    • Minimum two (2) years experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing or similar field is preferred.
    • Experience with make-to-stock, make-to-order, and engineer-to-order manufacturing systems
    • Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%.
    • APICS certification (CSCP, CPIM or related) is preferred.
    • Experience with MS Office (specifically Excel)
    • Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards is preferred).
    • Excellent negotiating, contracting and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial organization where cooperating with others and being a team member is essential
