Overview

The Packaging Specialist I is responsible for Reading packaging blueprints. Proficient using measuring equipment and power tools. Proficient in the consolidation of manufactured parts on a palletized format. Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Conduct material take-off's for up and coming builds
  • Receives and repacks goods
  • Operate Forklift
  • Use power tools
  • Package and consolidate manufactured goods
  • Pallet builds to spec.
  • RF capable
  • El- JDE ( novice)
  • Practice Safety always
  • Clean and S's area daily
  • Prevent any damage of manufactured goods during pack process.
  • Proficient with metal banding and non-metal banding material.

Qualifications

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Forklift certification
  • High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Carpenter

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Schedule is subject to change based on business needs. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and shiftwork.

  

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The work environment/physical requirements described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.

 

Employee will be subject to warehouse environment, cold temperatures of 40 degrees, and will be required to wear jacket. Noise levels of 90 decibels can be reached at certain times. Can be exposed to fumes or airborne particles while in manufacturing environment.

 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions ofthis job.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling,   stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
