As a Human Resources Intern you will join Vanderlande’s North America Corporate HR team. You will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of HR & Talent acquisition from candidate selection to onboarding and employee related matters to include but not limited to:



Human Resources:

  • Maintain electronic employee file accuracy
  • Ensure timely and accurate data updates in the HRIS System: Workday as directed by HR
  • Assist with conducting bi-weekly new hire orientation
  • Serve as an HR resource for employee-related matters working closely with HR Generalists
  • HR related project work as necessary including filing and scanning documents
  • Maintain the training calendar
  • Support scheduling of training events- sending outlook invites, drafting invite correspondence, etc.
  • Training coordination, including venue set up, food ordering, administration, etc.
  • Assist with benefits initiatives and open enrollment as needed


  • Partner with Recruitment to create and execute recruitment strategies and marketing campaigns including content and posting schedule to attract job seekers
  • Assist with initial resume review, evaluating candidate’s qualifications and strengths compared with job requirements.
  • Assist with coordinating interview schedules and travel arrangements
  • Assist with community outreach and internship/trainee program and event calendar


Basic Requirements:

  • Must be a junior or senior enrolled at an accredited university or college majoring in Human Resource Management, Communication, Business, Psychology or related degree.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week


  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Communicate professionally; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be flexible, and be able to prioritize and multi-task while working in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
