    The Electrical Estimator works in a team environment to help develop pricing for electrical installation components of our multi-million dollar material handling projects specifically in Baggage Handling, Warehouse Automation, and Parcel Sortation throughout North America. We are seeking an experienced professional with an in depth understanding of costing turn-key electrical installations on material handling systems in a multi-disciplinary environment. We are a fast-paced matrixed organization seeking an estimator with solid technical capabilities as well as the ability to work in a team environment.


    • Develop detailed estimates for electrical installation elements of automated material handling systems including but not limited to labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals.
    • Normalize and adapt electrical estimates for different geographic areas of North America.
    • Lead the identification and selection of electrical estimating software and tooling.
    • Develop processes for predicting labor productivity (or lack thereof) in different conditions and geographic areas.
    • Develop strategies to reflect cost differences in union vs non-union installations.
    • Work with the estimating, sales, and project teams to coordinate electrical estimate with the balance of the overall estimate for quality control and quality assurance of estimated electrical price.
    • Simultaneously work on multiple estimates as required to support work load.
    • Provide estimating support for manufactured items as required.


    Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum five (5) years of electrical project estimating experience with general contractor, electrical contractor, or similar for projects valued at $5M and up.
       Experience with working in team environments.
    • Must be self-starting and able to work alone and in teams. 
    • Proven ability to prepare detailed, accurate, and credible estimates in a variety of software platforms and tools.
    • Occasional weekday business travel is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or similar.
    • Experience with Automated Control Systems.
    • Experience working for an international organization.
