  • Overview

    The HR Assistant will support our busy HR department and will be responsible for providing administrative support for the department, assisting with the hiring process, entering a high volume of employment records into our HR database (Workday) and scheduling meetings. Teamplay, commitment and ownership are key values in our team. The position reports to the HR Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Handles all employee change transactions and maintains electronic personnel files.
    • Confirms accuracy and maintains all data entered in Workday and other databases and assures information is available on a timely basis.
    • Provides general administrative support to all HR Business Partners and Benefits Specialist such as preparing correspondence, prepare new hire documentation, processing termination, processing confidential reports and document management.
    • Assists with sensitive and confidential matters like employee relations, payroll data and organizational changes.
    • Administrative assistance to the Vice President of Human Resources.
    • Assists with bi-weekly new hire onboarding.
    • Coordinate meetings, prepare and distribute meeting minutes as needed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 2 or 4- year degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Administration.
    • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with HRIS/Workday, compensation, benefits or payroll.

     

    Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:

    • General knowledge and understanding of current HR policies and practices
    • Effective problem-solving skills.
    • Able to present information in forms, tables, and spreadsheets.
    • Possesses excellent multi-tasking, organizational skills and Planning skills and pay close attention to details.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (possessing strong written and verbal interpersonal skills).
    • Demonstrated self-starter (proactive, taking initiative), have a strong sense of urgency to accomplish all company goals and respond to customers.
    • Able to handle demanding deadlines, mange time effectively, prioritize tasks and follow-up as needed.
    • Possesses a high degree of professionalism.
    • Able to maintain confidentiality.
